A manufacturer of ductile iron castings uses hydraulic cylinders to control a melting pot, containing molten iron. The cylinders had begun to fail and, unfortunately, original manufacturer’s replacements were no longer available.
Southwestern Controls personnel measured the original cylinders, created working drawings, then submitted them to a well-known cylinder manufacturer. New custom cylinders were manufactured and successfully put into production. The Customer resumed normal operations with reliable equipment.
