A telecommunications equipment manufacturer experienced problems with transmitting antennae. The antennae signal became skewed or impaired when the feeder cone was obstructed by moisture in the form of rain or snow.

Southwestern Controls partnered with the Customer to design and manufacture a rain deviator or air knife, which was completed in four months. The manufacturer lost 18 months looking for a solution, prior to Southwestern Controls’ involvement.

Southwestern Controls personnel subsequently developed other variations of the Rain Deviator to accommodate the manufacturer’s other antennae.
